Growing up in Sweden I were very much influenced by my mother’s and grandmother’s cooking while rooming our home kitchen - asking what that smell was and where the fish came from that day. They were both amazing cooks in their own right and put out feasts that would shame any professional chef of today.

In my early teens I attended various apprenticeships and had my first job at a german restaurant with a hard-nosed German chef owner who gave me my first sense of what was to come.

I then moved on to various small jobs before taking a trip to California where I found myself doing various kitchen work and eventually were back in Sweden to serve out my mandatory military service. Once finished I made my way back to California where I have held many roles in restaurants and as a caterer in and around Santa Barbara.

I have worked as a line cook, dishwasher, wedding caterer, managed full crews, line cook, sous chef, chef and a consultant for new restaurants and private homes - just to mention some of the many roles that led me to start working as a private chef after some 20 years in restaurant kitchens. Since 2009 have I brought many happy locals and visitors the opportunity to taste the abundance of locally sourced ingredients prepared in your kitchen with my extensive background for a memorable experience.

I come to your residence, vacation rental and many other venues - preparing custom meals with clean rustic flavors from seasonal and organic ingredients found at our local markets for an intimate dining experience with the best of what California offers.
